This is our ezBuild Triple Filter Sock Holder 5 Chamber Sump/Refugium Ultimate baffle kit for 40 gallon Breeder Aqueon® glass tanks with adjustable water depth. Tank and Filter Socks Not Included. (20 Gallon Long Version Pictured). Our exclusive ezBuild sump kits are the fastest and easiest way to convert a glass aquarium to a fully functional sump. The key difference in our kits is the fully assembled sock baffle. We do that for you using recessed joints that insure proper alignment and improved strength. Since we don't use keyed parts, we don't create the leak points common with through hole tab slots. The end result is a durable, great looking sock baffle that you can install in minutes simply by dropping it into the tank and sealing it in with silicone. So simple, a sea monkey could do it. Also Included are all the parts you'll need to convert a standard glass Aqueon® brand 40 gallon breeder aquarium into a fully functioning 5 chamber sump or refugium for your display aquarium. All you'll need is the glass aquarium, some aquarium safe silicone and three filter socks that suit your filtration needs. The four included baffle plates can be used to divide the tank into distinct sections for filter socks, two zones for a refugium or equipment like protein skimmers or reactors, a bubble trap and your return pump. The ultimate kit takes our pro kit to the next level by adding several new features. Our exclusive lid seal system incorporates a captured o-ring integrated into the lid plate. This seals the inlet pipe, minimizing salt creep, without the need for additional bulkheads. This provides the benefits of a bulkhead while maintaining the compact size of an open pass through hole. 1" x 14" schedule 200 PVC down tubes with cut end pattern. 1 schedule 40 PVC Slip/Slip couplers for quick attachment to your plumbing. Available in left hand (standard) or right hand orientation. Left hand - inlet pipes in the rear left corner of the tank, water flows left to right Right hand - inlet pipes in the rear right corner of the tank, water flows right to left.

Precision CNC milled from premium grade black and clear 1/4 cast acrylic. Fully assembled and Weld-On® cemented joints so the kit is ready to silicone in the tank. 1, 2 or 3 x 1 inlets allow for up to a complete bean animal setup. Side entry for inlet water allows filter socks to be changed with the pump on.

Triple filter socks allow for extended time between sock changes. 2nd baffle provides extra sectioning options. Adjustable water level baffle to provide a 5.5" - 8", 6.25" - 10", 7.5" - 12" depth. Independent supports for supporting filter foam between the level adjustment baffle and the bubble trap baffle. Bubble trap plate to keep bubbles out of your return pump.

Lid has 1, 2 or 3 x 1 pipe inlet with our exclusive o-ring sealing system and removable cover to keep salt creep to a minimum. Sock baffle height is below the rim of the tank and includes overflow slots and a center recess to allow water to flow into the next chamber without overflowing the tank should your socks become fully clogged. Three 1 filter plates which can go in between the secondary baffle and bubble trap plate. These units allow you to suspend filter foam between the two plates to trap bubbles and particles escaping the main refugium/equipment section. These are self supporting so the distance between the secondary baffle and the bubble trap plate is not defined by the width of the filter plate allowing you to set your place distance based on how much extra filter material you'll need. Inlet down pipes and slip/slip unions to match the number of inlets you select.

Three high flow sock silencers. If you are not 100% satisfied with this product you can return it within 30 days provided it has not been glued into a tank. Using aquarium safe silicone, silicone the parts into your 40 gallon breeder glass tank and allow 24 hours to dry.

NOTE: This is designed specifically for Aqueon® 40 gallon breeder glass aquariums. To measure the inside, use calipers or trim a dowel rod or rigid piece of cardboard until it fits between the front and back glass of the tank while parallel to the bottom. Message us with that length and we can confirm if it will fit.
